This would be my first time attending Harewood this year. After having a poor start to the season in terms of weather I opted to wait out until the weather improved and stayed dry. As usual the forecast on the day was predicting heavy rain with sunny intervals, luckily the weather did us all a favour and it was actually rather sunny for most of the day with a fairly aggressive wind which blew over any potential heavy downpours.

As usual the racing action was excellent despite the long pauses in between competitors for some unforeseen events in the paddock. The usual crowd was here and some new extremely fast specialised hill climb monsters. One in particular was running a bike engine with a turbo and anti-lag, this thing was incredibly quick and sounded fantastic. Shooting up the main straight reaching a maximum speed of 138 mph in something like 100 yards of road, that is just incredible to watch.

Another stand out car for me was the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, a much loved car by me and I had never had the pleasure of seeing one of these in flesh let alone racing on the track. Still one of the best looking Ferrari’s out there in my opinion, a great balance of beauty and aggressive styling with technology rolled into an awesome package.
