Another year of motor racing has flown by yet again, and now today autumn has officially begun and for the majority of people the racing season is coming to a close. I always like attending the last event of the season at Harewood if possible as a lot of the competitors go all out as they know it’s their last chance to set a good time and possibly break a previous lap record. As usual there was a fantastic variety of cars on display, from pure purpose built single seat racing cars to almost standard road cars everyone has something they call a favourite on the day.Yet again I got to the event early and signed up to be an official media representative so I had total access to the circuit in order to get as close to the action as possible. As before I went to the usual places that I like to capture from, right at the top of the long straight is a great place to get some shots at high speed. I also spent a fair bit of time at the first corner as you can literally stand about 5 feet away from the cars as they launch themselves round the sweeping right hander.
Below are a few of my favourite captures from the day, as usual you can see the full set on my Flickr page by following this link – Harewood Speed Hillclimb Gallery on Flickr
