Canvas Varnish
All canvas prints I offer receive two coats of museum grade varnish at no extra cost.
As a standard we use Breathing Color Glamour II Gloss Giclee coating.
Matt finishing is also available on request as well as semi-matt or semi-gloss finishes.
Here are some benefits of laminating your canvas:
- Improved picture contrast
- Enriched colours
- Increased UV resistance
- Easier to wipe clean
- Prevents mould/fungus forming on the canvas
- Protects the canvas from chipping and cracking
Canvas Quality
All canvases are printed on Breathing Color Lyve © 450gsm which is ideal for photography and reproduction of fine art.
The canvas prints which I offer only use pigment based inks which produce a far greater gamut of colours when compared to solvent based inks, flat-bed or dye-sublimation inks. The pigment inks that are used to print the canvases are more appropriate for photograph and fine art printing. This means they have fantastic UV resistance and are free of odours and vapours.

All canvas prints are produced at 2880dpi, where most other companies are printing at 720dpi. In my experience 2880dpi gives a much better colour gamut and emphasizes the smaller details.
Stretcher Bars
I offer 38mm deep European premium quality pine stretcher bars. These are made from finger jointed pieces of wood, they are virtually knot free and have a smooth finish. They compliment our premium finishing and high quality materials. Cross braces are used on all frames over 32? long. All canvasses are finished on backing tape & hangers.
