After visiting Curborough Sprint Course for the first time last year, and thoroughly enjoying myself I was ready to go back for some more action.
One of the main reasons to go was to support my friends in the S2000 class who had been preparing over the off season to compete.
The weather was a little iffy so the times were inconsistent which relates to the amount of grip available on the damp track, the S2000 can be a little twitchy in the wet.
Some other notable cars were a gorgeous Ford Escort Mk1 in rally attire, beautifully restored and original looking. Another car was a Westfield Megabusa in a great looking shade of orange accented with carbon fibre panels.
Curborough offers a few different track configurations, I believe this time it was the figure of 8 loop. It’s a strange course due to the start and finish being at the same location as well as driving up and down the course in both directions.
As with my Harewood hill climb photos, there are many available to purchase as a print in various sizes and finishes. Click here for photos and prints from Curborough Sprint Course – April 2016.
