I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone Race Circuit.

The idea is for Porsche owners and fans to get the chance to experience each Porsche model in different driving situations. They have a handling track which replicates a winding country style road with different elevations and cambered corners, we tested the new 911 991 Carrera 2 in Manual and PDK Gearbox on this circuit and it was a fantastic car, the grip level is intense and the brakes are equally impressive. The ice road and skid pan are similar in simulating icy conditions and forcing the car to oversteer to get you comfortable with controlling the car once it has lost grip, we did this in the Boxster S and Cayman. We also had the opportunity to test the Cayenne and Panamera out on the road which was nice to be cruising around the Northamptonshire country side in style.

The day was excellently put together and well organised, I enjoyed every part of it and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves Porsches.
