Something which I was really looking forward to all winter was the start of the 2015 season at Harewood Speed Hillclimb. Although I missed the season opener in April due to bad weather and not having any protective gear for my camera I made the trip to this meeting in May.
The weather was looking good as well as the turnout of competitors. This event was a British Hillclimb Championship so all the fastest cars on the hill present, battling it out for the quickest time.
Now having a lot more confidence in the settings for the camera and lens I was able to consistently capture a lot more of the shots I wanted. I’ve always preferred the panning motion blur style shots, just to make them look a lot more dynamic and give the hint of speed.
Below are just a few of my favourite captures from the Sunday, you can view the complete set on the Flickr album – Harewood Speed Hillclimb – May 2015.
