It was a beautiful calm spring evening in May, I noticed there were just the right amount of clouds in the sky to produce a good looking sunset scene.
I travelled up to one of my favourite places to photograph Thruscross reservoir in Harrogate, as any regular visitors to my site will know I have photographed at this location many times.
As I know this reservoir well I knew just the spot to setup my equipment and wait for the right moment. I experimented with my ND10 filter to produce a long exposure and help calm the water and give it a silky feel.
I spent a good few hours at the location and I captured many different photos from the session, below are my two favourites from the evening.
